Dr. Siddhartha Phukan is a Hepatobiliary, Pancreatic, and Gastrointestinal Surgeon with more than 22 years of experience in complex open surgery, advanced laparoscopic surgery, and therapeutic ERCP. Based in North East India, he has established a practice dedicated to the comprehensive management of diseases affecting the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, pancreas, and gastrointestinal tract, combining surgical precision with evidence-based clinical decision-making.
His expertise spans advanced hepatopancreatobiliary surgery, minimally invasive gastrointestinal procedures, biliary endoscopy, and the management of complex benign and malignant gastrointestinal diseases.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr. Phukan is actively engaged in academic surgery and clinical research. His interests include hepatopancreatobiliary surgery, minimally invasive surgery, biliary endoscopy, surgical innovation, and outcomes research.
A passionate educator and mentor, Dr. Phukan serves as faculty at surgical conferences, live operative workshops, and continuing medical education programs. He is actively involved in organizing scientific meetings that foster collaboration, promote surgical innovation, and support the professional development of young surgeons.
